In Agreement (Photography and sound installation)

In Agreement shows the original, signed, final versions of a selection of
trade agreements that the EU has negotiated and closed with another
party (or parties). The initial signed document reminds us of the good
intentions of exchange, collaboration and friendship.
You see the documents upside-down, last page up: the
visible signatures are the actual beginning, after this the good intentions
need to be proven. These ‘wet’ signatures, that validate the agreement of
hundreds of pages, sometimes after years of work and negotiation, seem
the only thing that humanizes these large, complicated documents.
